Samples were collected during the first and the third week of each month during the year. The plates were exposed to the air for 10 minutes at 2 m elevated from the floor and incubated at 28OC. A total of 28 fungal species were isolated during the whole study from the two hospitals as Aspergillus sp. , A.fluvus, Emericella sp. , A.niger, Curvularia sp. , Trichoderma sp. , A.fumigatus, Penicillium sp. , Drechslera sp. , Candida albicans , Cladosporium sp. , Eurotium sp. , A. terrus, Fusarium sp. , Nigrospora sp. , Scopulariopsis sp. , Monillia.sp. , , Papulospora immerse, Stemphyllium sp. , Geotrichum sp. , Rhodotorula sp. , Rhizopus sp. , Saccharomyces Cerevisiae, Chaetomium sp. , Ulocladium sp. , Mucor sp. , Alternaria sp. and Rhodotorula sp.
from Suez Canal university hospital 27 different fungal species (23 filamentous fungi and four species of yeast fungi) were isolated from air of the different care units .The most predominant species isolated were A.fluvus, A.niger, A.fumigatus , Penicillium sp and Cladosporium sp .
from Suez Canal University specialized Hospitals 17 different fungal species (16 filamentous fungi and one species of yeast fungi) were isolated from air of the different care units. The most predominant species isolated from all the hospital units (in and out) were A.fluvus, A.niger, A.fumigatus . Penicillium sp , Alternaria.sp and Cladosporium sp .
