Abstract
This chapter discusses Basic properties of C- steel, the definition of corrosion, the importance of corrosion studies, the causes of this phenomenon, classification of corrosion, factors affecting corrosion, corrosion theories, principles of corrosion and its types, corrosion cost, Consequences and economics of corrosion, methods of corrosion protection, types of corrosion inhibitors and the factors affecting inhibitors action in aggressive acid media, study the adsorption isotherms, the biological effect of MCA, Basics and computational aspects of density function theory (DFT), and the literature survey on the previous work and the aim of the work are also included in this chapter.
