المستخلص The aim of the current research is to investigate the effectiveness of using virtual museums in the light of the communicative theory of teaching science on developing concepts, higher thinking skills, and geological enlightenment among first-grade preparatory school students. The experimental approach was used, and the experimental design with two experimental and control groups, with pre and post measurement of the research variables, and the research sample consisted of (60 ) female students from the first preparatory grade. The research materials were identified in a software for virtual museumswas designed on awebsite, a student’s guide, a teacher’s guide, and measurement tools in the test of scientific concepts, the test of higher thinking skills, the geological enlightenment scale, The research reached a set of results, the most important of which was a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students and the control group students’ scores in the post application of the research tools in favor of the experimental group. In light of this, the researcher recommended the need to take advantage of virtual museums, and to generalize their use and employment in other academic subjects.
