Abstract In fat grafting there are many query questions, especially those that surround best practices for harvesting, placement, processing, and recipient site preparation. Techniques were considerably refined over the years. But they have not yet been standardized. Being available, easy to obtain and less costly render autologous fat as an ideal filler nowadays. Added to that, absence of risk of any immunological response particularly host rejection is one of the main advantages. Autologous fat as a tool for facial augmentation and regeneration is usually conducted with minimal morbidity and rapid recovery. Several research are conducted now for the purpose of investigating new methods and techniques to decrease fat resorption and hence optimize the results of fat grafting. |
