Abstract The aim of the present thesis was to purify tyrosinase from A. nidulans. The optimal production of tyrosinase was recorded on the 6th day. Tyrosinase was purified from A. nidulans by ammonium sulphate precipitation, DEAE-cellulose and Sephadex G-200. The final specific activity of purified tyrosinase in the present investigation was 230.8 units mg-1 protein. The molecular weight of tyrosinase from was 40 kDa. The pH of the purified tyrosinase was 7.0. Arrhenius plot for tyrosinase enzyme indicated that the activation energy was 1.02 KJ mol-1. The results revealed the anticancer effect of purified tyrosinase against on MCF7, A549 and HepG2. |
