Abstract
Periprosthetic femoral fractures have been reported around hip arthroplasties whether cemented or cementless.
Treatment of periprosthetic femoral fractures is difficult. Careful pre-operative planning and meticulous intra-operative technique during hip arthroplasty is the most important aspect in the prevention of periprosthetic fractures.
