Abstract The isolated Candida included three types of Candida: Candida albicans, Candida glabrata, and Candida krusei. Antifungal sensitivity test was conducted for antifungals belonging to the group of azoles (clotrimazole, voriconazole, and itraconazole) and others belonging to the group of polyenes (amphotericin B and nystatin) using the minimum inhibitory concentration test and the disk diffusion method. Our study investigated the effect of essential oils on the ability of germ tube formation by Candida albicans as an indicator of its ability to transition from the blastospores form to hphal form formation. |
