Abstract Design: CTS is one of the most common causes of upper limb pain and tends to increase in severity as the disease progresses. CTS can significantly affect motor performance and the activities of daily living, appropriate management should be implemented from the time of onset. Double crush syndrome has usually meant 2Compression of an axon at one location makes it more sensitive to effects of compression in another location, because impaired axoplasmic flow Repetitive peripheral magnetic stimulation (RPMS) is a noninvasive technique that induces changes in neuronal excitability at the site of stimulation and at distant sites, leading to either facilitation or inhibition depending on the frequency of the pulse. These effects may outlast the duration of the trains of stimuli for minutes to even hours. Aim: This study was designed to rule out the double crush hypothesis either to prove or discard it in patients with upper limb pain and to evaluate the efficacy of repetitive peripheral magnetic stimulation (RPMS) in treatment of patients with Carpal tunnel syndrome, aiming at opening a new treatment strategy, and thus improving the quality of life of such patients |
