The thesis proposes a framework to assist recommender system developer in choosing a recommendation approach that suits an application and produce recommendations for its users. The choice criteria is based application{u2019}s dataset and evaluation metrics which are used for experimenting the recommendation approaches and rank them according to their evaluation results. The framework had been studied on Movie domain using MovieLens and Netflix datasets to obtain the most feasible approach per evaluation metric and the results showed some commonalities
