Abstract This thesis aims to assess the content of C- reactive protein (CRP), haptoglobin (Hp), lysozyme and nitric oxide (NO) in blood and milk and its role in mastitis diagnosis and the golden goal of this investigation was establishment of a model (scale) for CRP, Hp, lysozyme and NO in blood and milk to assess the risk and degree of mastitis in individual cow. CRP, Hp, lysozyme and NO concentrations in blood and milk differed significantly between the evaluated groups of cows by CMT with the highest mean concentration in animals with clinical signs of mastitis. The data obtained here in this work showed significant increase in the level of CRP, Hp, lysozyme and NO as SCC increased. The association between quantity and type of naturally occurring of bacterial infection of the udder and concentrations of CRP, Hp, lysozyme and NO was investigated |
