Abstract In this work, three series of samples were prepared by using the co precipitation and the microwave assisted methods techniques. The first group, calcium phosphate with different Ca/P ratio and different pH values were synthesized. from the X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD) for the samples, it’s clear that the formed phase was brushite at pH 5 and 6 and hydroxyapatite at pH 7, 9 and 12. In the second group, calcium phosphate with Ca/P=1.67 and different pH values (5, 6, 7, 9 and 11) were synthesized. It is clear from XRD that the formed phase was brushite at pH 5 and hydroxyapatite at the other pH values. The high resolution transmission electron microscope (HRTEM) proved that the aspect ratio decreased with the pH values. All the second group were annealed at 800, 1000, 1100 and 1200{u00B0}C. XRD shows wide range of calcium phosphate phases depending on the pH value and the temperature. The microhardness test proved that the mechanical properties enhanced with the pH increasing |
