Abstract The work presented in this manuscript covers the modeling of the piezoelectric materials under different types of loading with accurate numerical methods. The boundary integral methods are chosen for their accuracy and the analog equation technique is used to simplify the treatment of the governing equations. Three new formulations are derived: direct integral formulation for static piezoelasticity, meshless indirect formulation for static piezoelasticity and direct integral formulation for transient dynamic piezoelasticity. They are tested through numerical problems and compared with analytical values and with other numerical techniques |
