Abstract This thesis studies a three dimensional system containing equal numbers of bosons belong to two di{uFB00}erent species and interacting via a harmonic oscillator potential. We assume that particles belonging to the same species repel each other, while those belonging to di{uFB00}erent species attract. The two cases, where the coupling strengths are equal and where the coupling strengths depend on the particle species, are studied. By solving the eigenvalue problem, we reformulated the Hamiltonian of the system in terms of the normal coordinates of the system instead of single particle coordinates |
