Abstract
There is significant overlap between chronic nonbacterial prostatitis and other unexplained pain conditions, raising
the question as to whether the prostate is the culprit
(Stein A et al. 2014). There is only limited information on
the true prevalence of prostate pain syndrome (PPS) in
the population as a result of significant overlap of
symptoms with other conditions (e.g. benign prostatic
enlargement and interstitial cystitis). In the literature,
