Abstract This research will focus on the use of advanced oxidation processes based on solar energy, as well as the use of nanomaterials and waste materials, in the removal of certain pollutants, namely textile dyeing and pesticide wastewater effluents. Alum sludge (AS), which is a by-product from drinking water treatment plants, will be prepared to be a catalyst for wastewater treatment. Additionally, nano-magnetite will be synthesized and coupling with AS to introduced to be a photocatalyst in the catalytic oxidation of wastewater. |
