Abstract

This research titled {u2019}Contemporary Hausa and Egyptian Novels: (A Comparative Study)’ highlight using comparative method between Hausa and Egyptian prose fiction. The research begin with historical excursion in the the relationship between Hausa and Egyptians. That gave room for the study of the novels from the two socities. The novels selected are {arshen Alewa {asa (End of Sweetness) by Bature Gagare and Yacoubian Building by Dr. Alaa Alaswany and that of Rahma A. Majid Mace Mutum (Woman is a Human) and Ziena by Dr, Nawal elsa’adawi. The research conduct a critical study on the novels to see the similarities and deifferences on theme between the novels. Bature Gagare and Dr. Alaa Alaswany have marxist ideology on their mind, while Rahma Abdelmajid and Dr. Nawal el-Sa’adawi struggle for women rights. The studies reveals the themetic similarities and differences between the novels.
