Abstract This study aimed at shedding light on a mounting humanitarian cost that Iranians are bearing as a result of the unilateral sanctioning system in place. The internal economic situation filled with mismanagement contributed to the existing hardship. However, factually sanctions exacerbated the situation to an extent where the living conditions reached a point of inability to pursue social and economic rights of food, shelter, healthcare and employment. Citizens are the ones harmed the most, even if sanctions are not targeting them rather Iran{u2019}s noncompliance with the UNSC resolutions. Nevertheless, this paper argues that there is a growing crisis in Iran that makes it extremely challenging to make ends meet |
