Abstract In this thesis the effect of laser radiation on PVA / CNT composite used in microwave shielding. Both dielectric constant and ac conductivity followed the power law of percolation theory. The EMI shielding measurements appears that the main contribution of these composites to effective EMI shielding was due to absorption. The percolation threshold changed from 0.019 to 0.029 by laser beam energies up to 200 joules. The skin depth decreases with increasing of CNT ( to 0.04 V fraction) by approximately 40 times its initial value. The maximum value of the total shield effectiveness is obtained at ( 35Ghz ) for the irradiated composite loaded with 0.038 |
