Abstract In this study include fractures that are separated from both the anterior and posterior column. It can be further divided into three groups according to the fracture pattern. The incidence of quadrilateral plate fractures in our series was 16 %, and were mostly found with associated both column fractures. We also concluded that quadrilateral plate fractures require a dedicated plan, proper reduction and rigid fixation. The second part of the study was conducted in the period from January 2012 till December 2014 on 39 patients (40 acetabular fractures) that were associated with quadrilateral plate fractures that presented to Cairo University Hospitals. The quadrilateral plate fracture was fixed by one of four methods: Infrapectineal plate in 12 cases, spring plate in 11 cases, buttress screw in 11 cases or a Letournel screw in 6 cases. Mean follow up period was 14.5 months |
