Abstract This thesis composed three chapters. The first chapter covers the progress toward the synthesis of Brasilicardin A (BraA) which is a specific inhibitor of the large amino acid transporter (LAT1). It includes four sections. The first section is an introduction explains the importance of LAT1 inhibitors as anti-cancer agents and a review of the synthetic trials of BraA and its skeleton. The second section clarifies the objective of the work and the schemes adopted for the preparation of the target compounds. The third section deals with the theoretical discussion of the experimental work for the preparation of the target compounds. The fourth section explains the experimental procedures used for the synthesis of the target compounds, as well as the physical properties and detailed data obtained from spectral analysis |
