Abstract This thesis aims to study af low of Newtonian fluids through bundles of uniformly arranged porous cylindrical fibres,under the influence of a uniform magnetic field.The cylindrical coordinate system is used to write the math-ematical formulation of the governinge quations,and the suitable boundary conditions .For any porous system, a relationship between the porosity and the permeability is employed by adding a Darcy viscous part to the momen-tum equations ,which applies to Newtonian fluids through porous fibres.The physical implications of various vari-ables on the permeability of the filtration system is presented and discussed .Mathematica program was impmented the roughout the study to obtain the results and figures, and the thesis is written completely using Latex program. |
