Abstract
The research aims to assess the environmental quality of existing informal buildings by small, simple and low cost intervention through; identifying the criteria for sustainable architecture, that can be applied to existing informal building, Recognizing informal settlement life style, and construction techniques, Comparing the comfort inside informal building with Islamic residential buildings, and finding the effective intervention that achieve the aim.
