Abstract

Survival within a globally competitive market requires organizations to continuously improve their quality either by decreasing cost, waste, and variations or increasing productivity and reliability or any possible way to assure customer satisfaction, such improvement can be under taken only project by project. In the last three decades, many methodologies and techniques were developed in order to help organizations effectively improve quality; also project management framework was developed and widely used for all types of projects, The aim of this study is to determine {uF0B7} the level of project management that organization apply to accomplish their quality improvement projects {uF0B7} success criteria they use to assess project success/failure {uF0B7} factors influencing project success {uF0B7} the impact of each factor affecting quality improvement projects success To achieve study objectives, an online survey was held, and quality improvement professionals were asked to fill a questionnaire designed to capture their experience with one quality improvement project. Data from 129 true quality improvement projects were collected and analyzed to find that organizations tend to use a streamlined project management approach to manage Q.I projects, and almost depends on output quality and stakeholders satisfaction to evaluate project success, also a list of 4 elements marked as a critical factors to project success
