Abstract Objective : This study was established to evaluate the osteogenic potential of the maxillary sinus in a two-stage sinus membrane elevation using titanium mesh to maintain the created space after membrane elevation without the use of any graft or space-{uFB01}lling material for future site development for the placement of dental implants in severely atrophied posterior maxillary ridge Material and Methods: This study was a randomized clinical trial (RCT), which used cone beam computed tomography imaging to measure the exact remaining bone height for the posterior maxillary ridge for 4 patients indicated for bilateral lateral sinus elevation and future implant placement with a total of 8 surgeries. 4 sides were done using xenogenic graft mixed with autogenous graft (group A) and the other 4 sides (group B) were done using a Titanium mesh to support the Schniderian membrane at the new height without using any grafting material. The surgeries were carried out using the Dentium Advanced Sinus Kit (DASK). The primary outcome was the new bone height (in mm) using CBCT after 6 months |
