Abstract The present experimental work was carried out at the Poultry Research Laboratory belonging to Animal and Fish Production Department, Faculty of Agriculture (Saba Basha), Alexandria University. This study was undertaken during the summer season of Alexandria city during the period from June 2018 to September 2018. The present study was planned and conducted to find out the possibility effect of using Moringa Oleifera leaves as feed additives on productive and reproductive performance of laying Japanese quail. A total number of 300 Japanese Quail birds (200 ♀+100 ♂) at 12 weeks’ old were used, Hens were selected based on egg production more than 70% after a two-week pretest period, Birds were fed corn-soybean basal diet containing 20.07 %crude protein and 2949 Kcal ME/ kg. Quails were weighed individually, randomly distributed into five groups, each group contained 60 birds (40 females and 20 males); each group was subdivided into five replicates with 12 birds (8 hens and 4 males). Quail were housed in wire laying cages, (2 hens and 1 male); of an open house system throughout the experimental period. All birds were kept under the same hygienic and environmental conditions throughout the entire experimental period that lasted for 12 weeks (from 12-24 weeks of age). |
