Summary
Praise be to God, who sent down the book to clarify everything and made it a miracle that will remain as long as the heavens and the earth remain, and I bear witness that our master Muhammad - may God’s prayers and peace be upon him-
The science of tafsir is one of the noblest and most noble of sciences, the greatest of which is blessing, the most extensive of knowledge, and the nation’s need for it is dire.
And God (exalted be He) has enabled me to be a servant of His Book, underlined by my words something simple and not mentioned between what the people of knowledge have written.
This modest research was entitled (Occasions and their impact on deriving the meanings of the Noble Qur’an between the two imams Al-Fakhr Al-Razi and Al-Alusi, a parallel study in the two surahs Al-Ma’idah and Al-An’am).
Given the importance of the two books that we are dealing with, namely (Mafatih al-Ghayb) by Imam Al-Fakhr al-Razi, and (Rouh al-Ma’ani) by Imam Al-Alusi, among the books of interpretation, which are considered two books of the books of interpretation, and they paid great attention to the science of occasions to explain this science and show it through their two books.
In this study, I followed the inductive approach, by tracing the occasions mentioned by the two imams in their interpretations, and the comparative approach in comparing the occasions, showing through this the impact of the two imams’ occasions in deriving the meanings of the Noble Qur’an, as well as the points of difference and agreement between them.
