Abstract The present study intended to enhance growth and lipid production, in particular, omega 3 fatty acids of the three different microalgae Microchloropsis salina (formerly Nannochloropsis salina), Micractinium pusillum, and Parachlorella kessleri by utilizing different nutrient supplementation and stress conditions. Depending on lipid productivity and fatty acid profile, the best treatments of each microalga were selected to evaluate the antioxidant and anticancer activity of the produced oil from microalgae. Furthermore, the objective of this study was to investigate the efficiency of the extracted oil in the treatment of burn and excisional wounds of the skin of mice. The obtained results can be summarized in the following points: |
