Abstract The thesis introduces interactive street furniture as a way to regain the vitality of public space.To achieve that, we need to understand what street furniture is, what defines it and its classifications. Then understanding interaction, its different definitions, classifications and levels.The previous literature will qualify us to the field study which begins with understanding the way Egyptian users interact with street furniture, by observing of different public spaces in Egypt and a questionnaire to understand Egyptian users{u2019} preferences regarding using street furniture.The research devised a frame work which was concluded from the previous literature, which is going to be applied on all case studies to conclude relationships between different items of the framework, and to compare local case studies to the international case studies, and to users{u2019}preferences collected from previously devised questionnaire |
