Abstract

Hotspot detection is a known spatial clustering process in which it is necessary to detect spatial areas on which specific events are concentrated. In Crime field hotspots are regions that require attention from law enforcement, perhaps through increased allocation of resources or location-specific patrolling custom-made to hotspot features. In last few decades, it was noticed that, the crimes were spread via large number of places all over the world. In Egypt as well, people are suffering from increasing rate of crimes which became everywhere. Some areas have more crimes than others, and some places have different kinds of crimes than others. Crime continues to be one of the major problems in our life. People areespecially concerned about hot crime places. A priorknowledge about these areas and better understanding of impact of these areas could helpinto submitting more appropriate crimecontrol strategies. Also it is important to consider the convenient of decision makers and give them the outcomes of our approach in graphical way or maps, whererankingthe streets or areas as high or low crime hotspots severity isnecessary for making crime control strategies
