Abstract This thesis studies the design of a 20 MWac power plant to be implemented and connected to the Benban station, which is connected to the current 220 kV power transmission line as part of the Feed-In-Tariff Program, which aims to build photovoltaic power plants having a total capacity of 1450 MWac. It consists of 32 discrete power plants with capacities ranging from 20 MWac to 50 MWac near the city of Benban, Aswan Governorate in southern Egypt. The study aims to find the optimum design of the plant so that it can work properly. In addition, to study the integration of the plant to the existing grid, using design analysis software, and to analyze the power flow, as well as further analysis of the short circuit current within the plant, voltage stability and harmonic distortion to ensure compatibility with the Egyptian grid interconnection code and international quality standards |
