Abstract Background: Treatment bycytoreductive surgery (CRS) and intraoperative hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) has been an option for selected patients with peritoneal carcinomatosis.This study aims to evaluate the impact of HIPEC in primary and recurrent epithelial ovarian cancer and explore the main significant prognostic factors in epithelial ovarian cancer. Patients and Methods: A prospective, non-randomized, mono-centric clinical trial including 48 epithelial ovarian cancer patients treated and followed up between 2012 and 2016. They were treated by complete cytoreduction with/without HIPEC for primary cases and complete cytoreduction with HIPEC for recurrent cases.The study was performed at National Cancer Institute (NCI)- Cairo University |
