Abstract The present study was designed to exhibit the embryogenesis and histogenesis of the rabbit liver. Also, to throw more light on the ability of LMSCs isolation from rabbit liver as an experimental model for tissue culture and molecular biology research. This work was carried out on 78 embryos and fetuses of white New Zealand rabbit embryos of both sexes in different gestational periods as well as 18 newborn rabbits of both sexes. The embryos were obtained from apparently healthy adult pregnant does. Their age ranged from 1.5-3 years old, and 2-4.5 kg, weight. The does were obtained from the farms of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Agriculture, Zagazig University as well as from some special farms in El-Sharqia Governorate. During the conduct of practical experiments, the protocol of the Institutional Committee for Animal Welfare was strictly applied in this work (approval number, ZU- IACUC/2/F/13/2021). Attention has been considered to relieve the animal pain while handling it as humanely as possible. The pregnant does and the neonatal kittens were generally anaesthetized during collection of the embryos or fetuses and the liver samples. |
