المستخلص
This study consists of a preface, introduction, three chapters and conclusion.
- The preface includes the research problem, questions, hypotheses, scope, methodology, structure and literature review.
- The introduction contains a concise review of the fundamental terminology of the study i.e. methodology, omission, verbal omission, connotation, semantic connotation, analytical study, wisdom and purpose.
1. Chapter one: Categories of Verbal Omission in the Noble Qur’ān and Some of its Semantic Connotations. It is composed of four sub-chapters:
a. Omission of prepositions and its semantic connotations.
b. Omissions of names,verbsand its semantic connotations.
c. Omission of sentences and its semantic connotations.
d. Omission of paragraphs, scenes and some story details and its semantic connotations.
2. Chapter two: Some Wisdoms of Verbal Omission in the Noble Qur’ān. It is composed of three sub-chapters:
a. Urging contemplation and reasoning.
b. The unique diversion of the Qur’ānic style from human styles.
c. Concentration on meanings over structures.
3. Chapter three: Some Purposes of Verbal Omission in the Noble Qur’ān. It is composed of three sub-chapters:
a. The purpose of inimitability.
b. The purpose of proving divine nature of the Noble Qur’ān.
- The conclusion: it includes the findings of the study, recommendations, bibliography, references in addition to Arabic and English abstracts.
