المستخلص Building Information Modeling, hereinafter referred to as (BIM), integrates multi-disciplinary data to create digital representations of buildings, the process of data integration is very complex as many disciplines exist in the construction industry, which makes it harder for professionals to achieve data interoperability. Therefore, in order to successfully use and implement BIM in construction projects, this paper evaluates Critical Success Factors, hereinafter referred to as (CSFs), for successful BIM implementation and explore their ranking and underlying relationships. A total of 51 success factors were identified from previous studies and a questionnaire survey was conducted among 345 industry practitioners. Results were analyzed and benchmark metrics indicated the topmost 15 CSFs. Coordination between all project parties was identified as the most significant CSF. These 15 significant factors have been used in an integrated structural framework in order to be ranked, ranking CSFs have practical implications as it provides the basis for refining the most significant factors that industry stakeholders should focus attention on for successfully implementing BIM. This study also produced a template form for measuring performance completion % for BIM implementation which helps in controlling BIM performance across projects’ life cycle. |
