Abstract UHPC is one of the breakthroughs in the 21st century in the field of concrete technology. It achieved high results of mechanical properties, durability (resistance fire, corrosion and chemical attacks) and bonding strength. The aim of thesis is to evaluate the long-time behavior of UHPC. The materials were used in the experimental program available in the Egyptian markets. The main variables were fly ash, metakaoline, crushed quartz powder and aggregate size. Fly ash and metakaoline, used as a replacement of cement weight. Fly ash with ratio 10%, 20%, 30 and 40% as a replacement of cement was used. Metakaoline with ratio 5%, 10% and 15% as a replacement of cement was used. Crushed quartz powder with ratio 10%, 20% and 30% as a replacement of sand was used and different aggregate size (3.2, 2.36, 1.9) were used. The effect of these variables were analyzed and discussed their effective on the mechanical properties and drying shrinkage. The results showed that, using 0.2 W/C, 0.02 superplastizers, 20% ratio of crushed quartz powder to fine sand (CQ/S), 20% ratio of fly ash to cement (FA/C), 5% ratio of metakaoline to cement (MK/C), (1.9 mm) aggregate size and fixed cement content 900 kg/m3 give the best proportions of UHPC. |
