Abstract
This study was conducted to detect the diagnostic value of Cancer antigen 125 in non-small cell lung cancer, bacterial pneumonia and tuberculous pneumonia as Lung cancer, tuberculosis and pneumonia are important defferential diagnosis of any pulmonary infiltrate. 54, 152, 167 This study dealt with the evaluation of diagnostic value of Cancer antigen 125 thus compared to other methods as radiology and laboratory methods. So, chest X-ray postero-anterior view and lateral view, Sputum smear for Acid-fast bacilli by Zheil-Nielsen stain for 3 successive days, Laboratory investigations including complete blood picture, Erythrocyte sedimentation rate, cancer antigen 125 by ELISA technique for all cases and control group.
