المستخلص Summary Study title: Use an Islamic magazine that meets the needs of children from 6-9 years Name of the Researcher: Mohamad Samy Taha El-Halfawy Research organization: Department of Mass Communication and Children’s Culture, Faculty of Postgraduate childhood studies, Ain Shams University First: the study problem: The problem of the study is represented by the main question regarding the extent of ”Use an Islamic magazine that meets the needs of children from the age of 6 - 9 years” due to the scarcity of Islamic magazines for children on the press scene in the Arab world. Second: Objectives of the study The study aims to identify the use of an Islamic magazine that meets the needs of children from 6-9 years, through: Producing a specialized Islamic magazine meets the religious and moral needs of children. Identifying the directorial preferences in Islamic magazines among .the study sample c Third: Type and Methodology of the Study A quasi-experimental study based on the ”quasi-experimental approach” in order to identify the use of an Islamic magazine that meets the needs of children aged 6-9 years, through an experimental design that includes two experimental groups, with the use of pre and post measurement. Fourth: The study sample: The study sample consists of a deliberate sample of (100) children from 6-9 years of age, with (50) males and 50 females from primary school students in Cairo and Giza governorates. Fifth: Study Tools The study tools are: Scale of religious and moral needs. A survey form for the preferences of form and content in the Islamic magazine for the respondents of the study sample. Al-Majalla Al-Islamiya -paper-based Islamic magazine)) Sixth: Questions and hypotheses of the study The main question: What is the relationship between the use of the Islamic magazine by children from 6-9 years with meeting religious and moral needs :A number of sub-questions emerge from the main question, namely? What religious and moral information and concepts should be= provided to these children in the study sample? = What are the directorial preferences in Islamic magazines for the study sample children? =What are the significant differences between the scores of the two experimental groups in the pre and post application of using the Islamic magazine on the scale of religious and moral needs? =What are the significant differences between the scores of the respondents according to the demographic variables (gender - type of education - place of residence) for using the Islamic magazine on the scale of religious and moral needs? Seventh: Study results: = The study proved the validity of the hypothesis that says: “There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the two experimental groups for using the Islamic magazine to meet their needs. = The study proved the validity of the hypothesis that says: “There is a correlation between the richness of the Islamic Children’s Journal, the study tool, and the fulfillment of the religious and moral needs of children. |
