Abstract Communication, processing, and storage of digital information have brought about profound changes in our society. Information may be stolen, copied, or interfered. Actions could be random or intentional. Watermarking is the process of embedding data called a watermark into a multimedia object such that watermark can be detected or extracted later to make an assertion about the object. The object may be audio, image, or video. Robust image watermarking aims to embed invisible information, typically for copyright protection applications, in images. The watermark should be robust against various image processing attacks. This thesis aims to develop a robust watermarking algorithm. An approach to robust image watermarking techniques termed as second generation watermarking started from an idea from work introduced in the compared paper, but extended to further research to reach better results and satisfy needs of real time applications. |
