Abstract
A significant number of supramolecular metal complexes have been synthesized in the last several years [1]. Supramolecular chemistry and crystal engineering have many applications in various fields such as molecular recognition [2], catalysis, electrical conductivity , molecular magnetism and nonlinear optics [3-9]….. etc. The structural of metal-organic complexes depend on several factors such as: The central metal ion (coordination number, geometry, charge and Hard Soft Acid Base HSAB behavior) and the performance of the ligands (charge density, shape, size and HSAB behavior). Zn (II) acts as a Lewis acid and hence it can play a valuable role as a catalyst in hydrolysis reactions.
