Abstract The thesis is divided into four main chapters as follows: Chapter 1: This part covered the literature survey of the importance of spirooxindole scaffold, aginst cancer and inflammation. Also, the 1-3-dipolar cycloaddition general protocol is highlighted. Chapter 2: This section mainly discussed the research objectives and aim of this thesis. Chapter 3: This part reviews the discussion of what has been accomplished by the synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives and discussed the proposed mechanisms for the synthesis of these novel compounds. The discussion of the result of spectral analysis, which proved the expected structural formulas for new synthesized molecules, as well as the results of spectral analysis for each new compound were recorded. Also the biological activity and molecular docking have been described. Chapter 4: It includes two parts, the first part described the experimental methods which have been used in the synthesis of spirooxindole derivatives; also the chemical yields, spectral data, as well as the physical properties for the new compounds have been documented. While the second section of this chapter includes the experimental methods that have been conducted to identify the biological activity of the synthesized compounds as anti-cancer and anti-inflmmatory agents. |
