Abstract In this thesis, a hybrid detector based on the joint Gauss-Seidel(GS)and Successive Over-Relaxation(SOR)methods is employed for BER performance enhancement of M-MIMO system. The numerical results showed a substantial reduction in complexity and improvement in performance over all approaches using the proposed GS-SOR process. New hybrid detection techniques are also proposed in this work, based on a combination of sphere decoder(SD)and linear/non-linear detection techniques such as ZF, MMSE, V-BLAST, and LR. These hybrid methods are designed to enhance the MIMO system’s BER performance. Furthermore, the Seysen’s lattice reduction algorithm (SA)for lattice reduction(LR)aided MIMO detection is proposed to enhance the BER lattice reduction performance. So,the hybrid detection technique achieved better performance by using SA lattice reduction than by using LLL lattice reduction algorithm. |
