Abstract ABSTRACT Medicinal herbs and plant products were used for treating in a wide spectrum of infections and antioxidant. This study was designed to assessment the activity of some plant seeds (A. graveolens, Lepidium sativum and Peganum harmala) for examination of antimicrobial and antioxidant activity to choose the best plant seeds have antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. The hexane extract of A. graveolens showed the heights values of antimicrobial activity against Bacillus cereus, Salmonella sp., Staphylococcus sp. and Penicillium sp, Fusarium oxysporum, Alterneria solani, and Aspergllus niger. All of the extracts (hexane, methylene chloride and methanol) don’t show any inhibition zone against Pseudomonas sp..1-phenyl-1-hepten-3-ol was isolated from hexane extract of A. graveolens, the chemical structure was identified by spectroscopic studies (IR, proton NMR and GC-MS). Methanol extract of Lepidium sativum seeds showed strong antioxidant effect. Purification was achieved by columns chromatography and dissolving in different solvents to isolate antioxidant compound. IR, proton NMR, GC-MS and UPLC-MS were used to study the chemical structure. The antio |
