المستخلص The Semiotic analysis of Photographs in newspaper of the Bahrain Youth The first chapter: entitled the methodological framework of the study, dealing with the problem of the study, the importance of the study, the aims of the study, the previous studies, commenting on the previous studies, the location of the current study from the previous studies, the reasons for choosing this study, the study difficulties, the exploratory study, the study questions, and the study hypotheses Study methodological steps, data collection tools, study statistics, study limits, and procedural definitions The second chapter: deals with the theoretical framework of the study, and it consists of three sections. The first topic is the theories of the interpretation of the study, the theory of media frameworks, and the theory of semiotics, the third topic, the photographic image. The third chapter: consists of the413 results of the study. And the third topic: the results of the field study. Public results, semiotic analysis of photographs published in Gulf News and Al-Ayyam newspaper. Results of standardized interviews: • According to the contact person’s opinion, the most important criteria for selecting a photo published in newspapers are (suggestions, artistic composition , colors, and image content. • The image is the most important element used in building press design. Field study results: • The rate of follow-up of Al-Ayyam newspaper was slightly higher than that of Gulf News, and it came first in the number of times the respondents read the two newspapers, which are all days of the week. What grabs the respondents’ attention the most were news headlines on the front page, then pictures first pageThe most important attitudes of the respondents according to the importance of the photograph in the newspapers of the study sample from their point of view was their eagerness to follow the pictures published in the newspaper, and their interest always in following up the pictures related to the news. Results of the analytical study: • It was found that the lines in the two newspapers were clear, and that the indications were present in less than half of the photographs in the two newspapers. Many of the photographs in the two newspapers were expressive. • An analysis of the semiotic content of the photographic image in the Bahraini newspapers in terms of the point of focus revealed that the focus points were evident in half of the photographs in the two newspapers. Applied proposals: • The necessity for newspapers to pay attention to the content of the published photographs to ensure the credibility and validity of the news in order to attract the readers. • The name of the photographers working in the newspapers of the study sample should be shown alongside their published photos. |
