Abstract Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder has wide prevalence in the community, and it is associated with many problems to the affected children and their families. Parents of children with ADHD usually experience significant burden of care due to children’s disruptive behavior & suffer from stress and mood disorders. In our study we assessed anxiety disorders among parents of children with ADHD in comparison with parents of normally developing children; in order to help improve family functioning and consequently enhance outcomes of ADHD management. Also, we wanted to determine the predicting factors of anxiety in parents such as ADHD subtype, severity and comorbid diagnoses, or socioeconomic status and level of education of parents. |
