Abstract

The uninterruptible power supply is transformed today into something essential in all areas of modern society, including industry, trade, health and education. In this thesis, the types of UPS and the operating paths for each type are presented, each component of the system is presented separately in detail and explanation, some applications that can be used by UPS, design a model for the UPS with the treatment of common mistakes using a modulator, DC / DC converter It works in two directions: the first to supply the battery with electricity in the presence of the main source of the current, the second to supply the load with electricity during the loss of the main current source, Bi-directional DC/DC converter which reduces(buck) the voltage coming from the rectifier to accommodate the battery charge and also raises the external voltage (boost) from the battery to match the inverter voltage, and the design contains a transistor IGBT type Acting as the inverter, converting the DC voltage from the battery to the AC voltage to match the load operating voltage. Finally, the experimental simulation results are presented for the different operating conditions that correspond to the expected results, and a set of training activities for industrial secondary school students is supplemented to the third-grade power electronics subject specializing in electrical installations and equipment.
