Abstract

The research problem is due to exceeding the noise levels issued by machines, equipment, and the various production lines to international standards within the industrial establishments, which may negatively affect the productivity and health of workers. It was also noticed through the field survey that there was a deficiency in the occupational safety and health course in dealing with that problem.
The aim of the research is at measuring noise levels in industrial establishments with different activities, to develop an information base that shows the extent of their impact on worker productivity and health, and to suggest solutions to reduce them, and to develop a proposed scenario for an educational unit to be built on the results of laboratory experiments.
through field survey operations on industrial noise pollution and access to related studies and the same procedure for curricula and the development of its curricula and focus on the occupational safety and health course for students of the fourth year of the Faculty of Industrial Education - Helwan University, the researcher has determined the research tools that he will use to achieve the goals of the research.
The researcher has performed a statistical analysis to process the results of the research results, and it was found that the productivity of many workers is negatively affected by the increase of the noise dose .With the presence of a statistically significant correlation relationship with a correlation coefficient (R) whose value is (0.99) at a significant level (0.05).
It was also noted that the health of many workers is negatively affected by the increase of the noise dose. With the presence of a statistically significant correlation relationship with a correlation coefficient (R) whose value is (0.73) at a significant level (0.05).
Accordingly, the research recommended that all industrial institutions should be obligated to conduct awareness-raising programs and courses that raise the cultural level of industrial safety measures to deal with noise, being the most dangerous type of industrial environmental pollution. He also recommended that the state should intervene with its competent ministries and relevant agencies to create a program for the replacement and renewal of dilapidated equipment with modern equipment.
The research also recommended taking into account when designing and establishing industrial productive institutions, using building materials intended to reduce noise and reflection of sounds,
And the need to take into account the findings of the research in designing a proposed educational plan and unit to develop the occupational safety and health course for fourth year students and to address the deficiencies of the subject of industrial noise in the existing course taught.
The research also recommended the need to develop the skills of measuring the noise level and reducing industrial noise through the developed course.
