المستخلص

The world has recently witnessed a development in various fields, as a result of technological developments to become a characteristic of the present era, including our intellectual and cultural life and influenced by the way of life, and education has had the best luck of this effect, technology has become a great challenge for the school and its philosophy and for education in general, which made educational thinkers reconsider the expansion of the ways of benefiting from these changes, and adopt the greatest of these innovations, and the search for the best strategies and these strategies mental maps that use the field of education and this help in this educational technique. Improving the processes of teaching and learning in different curricula, by way of mental map, the cognitive and skill structure of the student is clear.
Divergent thinking increases expectations and possibilities, as empirical studies have shown that individuals with the ability to solve problems have a high ability to for divergent thinking. Therefore, teaching strategies must be organized in a way that is appropriate to the nature of the brain’s work in order to expand the neural network, resulting in creative ideas.
The use of the electronic mental mapping strategy is a systematic and effective entry into education to help students develop performance skills in programming and develop divergent thinking skills, and in light of that the researcher’s attempt was to use electronic mental maps in order to enable third-graders to perform programming skills and divergent thinking in their computer curriculum.
Search problem:
Through the above problem of research has been identified in: the low level of students of the third grade preparatory students in programming skills in the language of Visual Basic dot net, and in the ability of divergent thinking, which made the researcher try to use a tool that may help them to develop programming skills and practice divergent thinking, which may occur through the use of electronic mental maps in computer teaching, the use of activities and exercises used in the design of mental maps for related programming topics, and the mapping of computer applications in life, and then The research attempts to detect the impact of the use of electronic mental maps on the development of programming skills, and the practice of divergent thinking and skills in third-graders.
Search questions:
The main question of the research is:
How can I develop the programming and divergent thinking skills of third-graders using electronic mental maps?
The following questions are derived from this question:
1- What is the impact of using electronic mental maps in the teaching of computer material on the development of programming skills in third graders?
2. What is the impact of using electronic mental maps in the teaching of computer material on the development of divergent thinking skills in third-grade students?
3- What kind of correlation between programming and divergent thinking skills in third-graders?
Search goals:
1- To detect the impact of the use of electronic mental maps on the development of programming skills in third-grade preparatory school students.
2. Determining the impact of the use of electronic mental maps on the development of divergent thinking skills in third-grade preparatory school students.
3- Identifying the correlation between the development of programming and divergent thinking skills in third-grade preparatory school students.
The importance of research:
The search may benefit:
1- Research group students: by training students to use electronic mental maps during the teaching and learning of computer material.
2- Teachers: By providing a guide for teachers on how to design and employ electronic mental maps in computer education.
3- Planners and developers of the curriculum in the use of electronic mental maps and their integration into the computer curriculum.
4- Researchers in the same field to create new research related to the field of research.
Research hypotheses:
1. There is a statistically significant difference between the average grades of the students of the experimental group and the control in the dimensional application of the programming skills observation card for the experimental group.
2. There is a statistically significant difference between the average grades of the experimental group and the control in the dimensional application of the divergent thinking test in favour of the experimental group.
3- There is a positive correlation between the degrees of programming skills in the visual basic dot net language and the divergent thinking in the post application of research tools on the experimental group students.
Search limits:
The research was limited to the following limits:
1- The second unit (introduction to the language of the visual basic dot net) and the third unit (adjusting the characteristics of the controls) of the programming course in the language of the visual basic dot net for the first semester ’from the computer book of the third grade preparatory’, because of its importance in programming and the employment of electronic mental maps in their processing.
2- A group of students in the third grade of the preparatory school at the AL Shaheed Adel Borai School in Tobhar village, Fayoum governorate.
3- Some of the divergent thinking skills included in the second and third unit in the language of the visual basic dot net, which are: providing new visions, composition and synthesis, reclassification, proposing hypotheses and testing their validity.
Research methodology:
The research relied on the experimental approach based on the semi-experimental design of two groups (experimental and control) to measure the impact of the use of electronic mental maps in the teaching of computer material on the development of programming skills and divergent thinking in preparatory school students through the following chart:
Search materials and tools:
Through the kind of the research and its objectives, the researcher prepared the following:
First: Research materials:
1- A guide for the teacher explaining how to teach the two units, employing electronic mental maps.
2 - A list of programming skills.
Second: Search tools:
1- The achievement test to measure the cognitive aspect of programming skills.
2- Note card to measure the extent to which programming skills are used.
3- Divergent thinking test in the selected units.
Procedural steps for research:
The search procedures proceeded according to the following steps::
The theoretical aspect:
- Access to educational literature, research and previous studies related to the field of research: electronic mental maps, computer education, and divergent thinking. This is to prepare the theoretical framework, and to prepare research tools and educational materials.
2- The practical side:
• Preparing a teacher’s guide for a teacher to teach selected units using electronic mental maps, and present it to the arbitrators.
• Preparing a list of the software skills for the two units.
• Preparing an educational test for the cognitive aspect of programming skills.
• Preparing a note card to measure the extent to which programming skills are used and presented to the arbitrators.
• Prepare the divergent thinking test, present it to the arbitrators., and adjust it scientifically.
3. Exploratory experiment:
• Ensure the validity and stability of the research tools (note card to measure the perspective aspect and the achievement test of the cognitive aspect of programming skills, list of skills and divergent thinking test)
4- Research experience:
• A group of students in the third grade of the preparatory school was selected at the Al shaheed Adel Borai School in Tobhar village, Fayoum governorate, and divided into two groups: an empirical group and a control group.
• Pre-apply of search tools.
• Teaching the two units in the field of research to the students of the experimental group using electronic mental maps, while the students of the control group study the same two units in the usual way.
• Post apply of research tools.
Monitoring and processing results statistically, analyzing and interpreting results.
• Make appropriate recommendations and suggestions in light of the results of the research.
