Abstract
This research presents the impact of low salinity water flooding in increasing the oil recovery factor for oil wet reservoir, and selecting the suitable reservoir rock conditions for applying low salinity water flooding. The optimum application of low salinitywater flooding plays an important role in increasing oil recovery over other EOR methods. The validity of these results was checked by comparing the results of low salinity water flooding versus high salinity water on strongly oil wet reservoirs. Permeability reduction was checked via water susceptibility test.
