Abstract A total of 100 random samples of frozen meat product such as minced meat, luncheon, basterma,and sausage (25 of each,200g) were collected from different supermarkets at Gharbia .The collected samples were transfered directly to the laboratory in an ice box under complete aseptic conditions. All samples were collected were cultured at 37℃ for 24 hours aerobically on selective media (MYP) for isolation and purification. The suspected colonies were examined for their colonial morphology, microscopical examination and biochemical reactions. The samples were immediately examined bacteriologi-cally for the detection of B. cereus. The results revealed that the incidence of B. cereus was 76%, 44%, 32% and 28% in basterma, luncheon, sausage and minced meat, respectively. Multiplex PCR results revealed that 1/12 of examined samples of meat products were positive for hbl gene. On the other hand 3/12 of examined Samples were positive for ces gene. |
