Abstract
- Microbial degradation of phenol and related phenolic compounds has been a topic of scientific interest for a number of decades. A large number of aerobic bacteria have been obtained in pure culture and the pathways of aerobic phenol metabolism, and the enzymes involved, have been studied in detail.
